Old town stroll

Our Old Town Stroll might be the most historical and cultural. You start right at the base of Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church. Taking to the back streets you quickly encounter street art. Make an easy turn up into an area called Gringo Gulch. This is where many celebrities lived during the 60's and 70's. Going down one of the best staircases in Vallarta you get to the river island. You step right down into the cultural arts center. There are many murals on the island, take a minute to really discover it. Coming out of the island you hit Calle Insurgentes and go into Emiliano Zapata. Continue on the route to see lots of murals and the city's main shopping and restaurant district. Finishing your stroll at Lazaro Cardenas Park, be sure to explore the ongoing community mosaic project. It is truly a sight to be seen!

Emiliano Zapata Stroll

This stroll will take you through one of the more lived in and local neighborhoods. There is great street art and some really classic murals in this area. You start at the Guadalajara Pharmacy passing the taco carts (be sure to come back when they are open for great local tacos). Heading into the Colonia, you pass the church Iglesia de la Santa Cruz. Don't forget to look for the churros! Going up the street stay to the sidewalk as there are buses. Arriving at the bridge over the Rio Cuale, look up to see a show stopper. This area is peaceful and friendly where you can find great local food and one of the best mercados in town. Stay on the route back through town to head back where you loop around to a busy road with more art. Finishing right by an artist collective and other galleries, stop in and see what treasures can be found.
